Teresa Sapey and Rafael Robledo were responsible for designing the VIP room of ARCO 2020. With the collaboration of RED these two interior designers created a space that embraced the visitor
Teresa Sapey explained that the design of the VIP room was inspired by “living in art and not just with art. The ARCO VIP lounge is just another piece of work. The highlight is the importance of color, I added a lot of color without fear. In addition, all products are branded España, thanks to RED, all is national furniture that has followed the proposed range of colours. To select them, I studied the different company catalogs and selected current, futuristic and ergonomic pieces. The result was impressive”.
For her part, Marisa Santamaría, director of RED, declared that “was a real honor to be representing Spanish design” and that RED was part of “the first time that Spanish design came to ARCO, one of the most important art fairs in the world and which has always marked the future”.
On behalf of RED, Actiu, Akaba, Cármenes, Diabla, Enea, Equipo DRT, Estiluz, Inclass, Joquer, Kriskadecor, LZF Lamps, Nerinea and Ondarreta collaborated in this project. Other companies such as Miliken, Luxiona Finsa and Valentine were also involved.
